How often should I change my gear oil?

A: Follow the manufacturers suggested change intervals. Additionally, if work or repairs are being done to the gear case, it is a good time to change the gear oil. Also, if the last oil change is unknown, as in the case of a used vehicle, it is a good idea to replace the fluids. Remember, you can never change gear oil (or any fluid) too often.
